About the Founder
Maureen A. Hunter
Founder & Servant Leader
Maureen Hunter was raised in a Christian home under the care of her maternal grandmother, who taught her to love, honor, and serve the Lord. From a young age, Maureen felt a deep desire to help others, a calling that remained evident throughout her life.
She spent her professional career in roles of service and support, always demonstrating compassion, integrity, and a heart for people. In 2018, she began serving as Senior Administrator on the Board of The Victorious Christian Women’s Leadership and Discipleship Training, Inc., a nonprofit that ministers to women in various life situations.
After retiring, Maureen was led by the Holy Spirit to further her biblical education. She returned to school and earned her B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Regent University.
Out of this deeper season of spiritual growth and surrender, MoHun’s Sunshine Ministry was born, a ministry dedicated to reaching the elderly, the sick, and the homebound with the presence of God, the power of prayer, and the encouragement of His Word.
Maureen is anointed to teach the Word, preach the Gospel, and intercede with power for those in need. Her ministry is grounded in two foundational Scriptures:
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
– 1 Peter 4:10 (AMPC)
“The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor… to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed.”
– Luke 4:18 (AMPC)
Maureen continues to serve faithfully as a vessel of God’s light and love, bringing sunshine into the lives of those who need it most.
